Our Commitment to Privacy
Gilda's Club Greater Atlanta (“GCGA”) is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the GCGA Web site (www.gildasclubatlanta.org) and governs data collection and usage. By using the GCGA Web site, you consent to the data practices described in this Statement of Privacy.
Collection of Personal Information. GCGA collects and maintains certain personally identifiable information about you that you provide when you send us an e-mail or complete any of our online forms, such as when you request information from us, make a donation, subscribe to our online newsletter, or forward a web page or electronic newsletter. This information may include your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number; it may also include the e-mail addresses of those to whom you forward GCGA electronic content, and any other information collected in the forms. GCGA also collects certain anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your ZIP code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favorites.
Collection of Web Server Traffic Information. There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by GCGA. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring Web site addresses. This information is used by GCGA for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the GCGA Web site.
This Statement of Privacy applies only to your use of the GCGA Web site. The GCGA Web site contains links to other sites, including sites that have a special relationship with us. GCGA does not disclose personally identifiable information to those operating linked sites. Links to other sites do not imply an endorsement of the materials or policies on those Web sites. GCGA encourages you to review the privacy statements of Web sites you choose to link to from GCGA so that you can understand how those Web sites collect, use and share your information. GCGA is not responsible for the privacy statements or other content on Web sites outside of the GCGA Web site.
Use of your Personal Information
GCGA collects and uses your personal information to operate the GCGA Web site and deliver the services you have requested. GCGA also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from GCGA and its affiliates that we feel you may be interested in, to keep you updated regarding GCGA’s programs, and to extend an invitation to you to support GCGA programs. GCGA may also send such information to the people whose e-mail addresses you provide when forwarding GCGA electronic content. GCGA’s sole intent in doing so is to enlarge its volunteer and contributor family. Every recipient of GCGA electronic communications can quickly and easily "opt out" of future such communications by following the instructions on any GCGA electronic communication received. GCGA may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered.
GCGA does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. GCGA may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that GCGA thinks may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, GCGA may share data with trusted partners to assist in the performance of statistical analysis, send you e-mail or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to GCGA, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information.
GCGA does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your express consent.
GCGA keeps track of the Web sites and pages our customers visit within the GCGA Web site, in order to determine what GCGA services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within the GCGA Web site to customers whose behavior indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.
