What is a Clubhouse?
When you arrive at Gilda’s Club you must walk through our signature red doors to enter the community. You’ll find a friendly, warm environment that feels as comfortable and relaxing as home. As a member of Gilda’s Club has mentioned, “Gilda’s Club has been a ray of light in the darkest moments of my life”.
Our clubhouse will be a free, non-residential gathering place where those touched by cancer can meet for social and emotional support. It may be located in a refurbished former home, a re-tooled commercial building or a brand-new structure that we create. The options are limitless, and bounded only by our fundraising efforts.
Each clubhouse contains:
- Red Door
- welcomes everyone to our clubhouse
- Family Focus Areas
- comfortable rooms to aid in communication
- Library
- for research and education
- Exercise Room
- to support the body and spirit
- Art Workshop
- designed for creativity and expression
- It’s Always Something Room
- a place for reflection
- Kitchen
- to nourish the body
- Noogieland
- for kids to play, create and express themselves
- A large community room
- for gathering, social events, workshops
Membership in our Clubhouse is free and open to people living with a diagnosis, survivors, family, friends … anyone whose life has been touched by cancer.
Opportunities exist to sponsor a room in our Clubhouse. Personalize our clubhouse by having your Name given to a special place in our clubhouse.
